Carriage House at Oak Ridge Plantation in Lovingston, $90 per person, cocktails from 6 until 7:30 hosted by the Gentlemen of Oak Ridge Hunt, cash bar, dinner, silent and live auction and dancing until you drop
Farmington Hunt and Oak Ridge Hunt alternate hosting the annual hunt ball. This year, the Oak Ridge Hunt are the hosts. Farmington members, guests and friends are encouraged to attend and are requested to either buy tickets or to host their own table. Emily Bassett is planning for 20 person "mini busses" to meet at Hunt Country Corner on the night of the ball so we can ride together to Lovingston. (Champagne optional!)
Invitations to FHC members will be arriving in the mail by mid-January, but please mark your calendars and save the date for what is going to be a fun evening.
Hunt Ball Update from Pattie Boden
January 27, 2010
The band is "Abbey Road", a full rock and roll "party band" - they are a local band but have performed at venues throughout the county. Most recently, they thrilled a sold out "starry nights" at Veritas vineyard and received rave reviews. They kept crowds on the dance floor the entire evening.
There will be a great selection of live and silent auction items that will appeal to more than just the equestrian set
Ticket cost is $90 for adult and $50 for juniors, reservations close March 5
invitations will be going out the first week of February, but it's not too early to begin thinking about tables and seating arrangements.
The tables seat 10 and you will be able to include names of who you want to be seated with on the reverse of your RSVP card.
We expect, as in the last ball held at Oak Ridge that the event will be a sell out.
If you email me (before you get the invitation) I can "hold" a table for you, your friends, family and neighbors. It will become a "reservation" once we receive your RSVP card. Therefore, please RSVP early, because we will be operating on a first come, first served basis.
Transportation information:
Emily Bassett
Please let me know if you wish to reserve a seat on the mini-bus!!! As everyone might have read in the Hunt Club Newsletter this week...I am working on getting together transportation to and from the Hunt Ball. The road to Lovingston is a dangerous road and I want to make sure we are all safe! I have worked up pricing for both a Van and a mini bus.
Mini-Bus= 23 passengers $114/hr (approx 6 hours=split 23 ways=$30 per person)
Van=10 passengers $81/hr (approx 6 hours=split 10 ways=$48 per person)I am hoping to be able to fill the mini-bus! Should be a fun, worry free ride to the Hunt Ball and back.
Please let me know if you would like a seat so I can make appropriate reservations with the transportation company.
Thanks!
Emily (and the herd at Meridien!)
