INITIATION FEES: Regular Hunting or Social Membership
- Ages 21 – 29 $250.00
$100 submitted with member application, $150 held in escrow* and deposited at the end of the first year of membership, when Regular membership approved.
- Ages 30 – 35 $500.00
$100 deposited with member application, $400 held in escrow* and deposited at the end of the first year of membership, when Regular membership approved.
- Age 36 and Above $1,000.00
$300 deposited with member application, $700 held in escrow* and deposited at the end of the first year of membership, when Regular membership approved.
*Should Membership be terminated for any reason, the money in escrow is refunded.
Student Member (High school, college, or grad school on full time basis)
Includes hunting and social privileges for member/spouse. May not vote or hold office.
Regular Hunting Member
Includes hunting and social privileges for the member, spouse and children under age 21. May vote or hold an office following the first year of membership.
Age 21 – 35 (Single $625; Married $980) - Eligibility for this category is determined by the age of the oldest hunting member (if a couple or a family) or the age of the hunting member (if single)
Groom: $300/year or $30/hunt - At the Master(s)' discretion, a Regular Member may obtain hunting privileges for a groom compensated to hunt a horse for that member or to chaperone a minor in the hunting field.
A member, 65 years of age or over, whose "age plus years of membership = 100" is eligible for Senior Membership. A senior member may not hold office.
Includes social privileges for the member, spouse and children under age 21. Social Members may hunt twice per season, with advance notice to the Masters, as part of their membership benefits. They may hunt an additional three times per season, but those three meets will each require payment of the appropriate capping fee.
Age 21 – 35 $450 - Eligibility for this category is determined by the oldest member (if a couple or family) or the age of the social member (if single).
Limited Associate Member (Full member of another hunt who does not reside within Farmington Hunt territory on an annual basis).
Includes hunting once a week and social events during the hunting season. May not vote or hold office.
Limited to those that reside at least 50 miles from the Kennels. Includes three hunts per year per member. Non-residents who hunt regularly must apply for Regular Membership or pay cap fees for additional hunts.
Honorary membership may be awarded under special circumstances at the discretion of the Board of Governors. An honorary member may not hold office
You may pay your dues annually or quarterly, by mailing a check to Farmington Hunt Club PO Box 5562 Charlottesville, VA 22905 or electronically through PayPal.
To pay via Paypal, log into your account (www.paypal.com), select "Send Money" and send to "firstname.lastname@example.org". Be sure to select the option "I'm sending money to family or friends" and, if you are using a credit card, add the listed credit card transaction fee to the amount you owe. Otherwise, if using your Paypal balance, no fee is charged. Click Continue, and on the Confirmation screen, please be sure to change the subject of the email that is sent from the default, "You've got Money!" to something more descriptive, like "Sutton Family Quarterly Dues" Please contact Stephanie if you have questions about this process.
