ADULT FOX HUNTING CLINIC
DAY 1– Saturday August 9th at 8:00 AM at Millington Stables, 3361 Millington Rd, Free Union, VA. 22940.
2 Mounted Sessions at Millington Stables, Approximately 1.5hrs each *, grouped by levels. Includes Morning: flat exercises to improve position, control and confidence, gymnastics to improve riders’ security! Afternoon includes: riding in fields, narrow trails, & hills; field-specific exercises (such as rein-backs, turn on the forehand) for gates and reversing field for staff; while negotiating trappy terrain; riding banks, ditches, streams, coops, panels & natural obstacles.
DAY 2– Sunday 10th at 8:00 AM at Farmington Hunt Club Kennels, 5962 Wesley Chapel Road

HUNT (or visit hounds in the pen for green horses)
(Sun PM): Lunch & Information Session with Masters and Hunt Staff (hunting conditions, scent, horn calls, staff roles, protocol, traditions and attire will be discussed)
JUNIOR FOX HUNTING CLINIC
An introduction to fox hunting for young riders ages 10-18 yrs. Old. You will learn all about fox hunting from attire and etiquette to skills of riding across country.
Participants need to be able to competently trail ride to attend the clinic. Please wear boots and breeches, and a ASTM approved riding helmet.
DAY 1: FRIDAY, AUGUST 8TH,2025

We will start in the ring to learn and practice exercises that are important when hunting. We will then head out into the fields and woods to continue learning good, safe skills and proper terminology used while hunting.
DAY 2: SUNDAY, AUGUST 10TH, 2025
8:00AM-12 NOON At Farmington Hunt Club, 5926 Wesley Chapel Rd., Free Union, VA 22940
You will participate in a Fox Hunt! On this day, junior and senior riders from the clinics will ride in a live fox hunt. All riders will be put in a group suitable to their abilities.
Following the hunt, there will be a demonstration on proper hunting attire.
