Farmington Hunt Club Hunter Trials

  • Judges: Mr. W. Patrick Butterfield, MFH, Mr. Thomas Bishop, Ex-MFH, Mrs. Kip Holloway, MFH & Mrs. Karen Bull
  • Horses judged on soundness, manners, way of going, and suitability.
  • Come enjoy a fun day over an outside course in a lovely setting.
  • Membership in a hunt not required.
  • No dogs allowed, spectators welcome!
  • Classes will run in order!
  • Open schooling is permitted, weather permitting..
  • No schooling day before. Negative coggins required.
10:00am NEAR HERE (2′) – Schooling at 9am1:00pm OVER YONDER (2’6″ or 3’0″) – Schooling not before 12:00 noon

Entries: Please pre-enter online at www.farmingtonhunt.org by 8pm April 25 to help us plan!!  $10 Post-entry fee on the day of show. No penalty fee for no-shows. All classes are $25.00 each. Schooling in the am without showing: $35.00.

Spectators: Spectators and tailgating welcome! Please come and watch if you can’t compete. Bring your friends and a picnic to enjoy this fun spring horse event in Virginia! No dogs allowed.

Directions: Take 250/29 Bypass to Barracks Rd. exit. Turn onto Barracks-Garth Rd, west, for about 4.5 Miles, Right onto Free Union Rd, go 4.3 miles, Left onto Millington Rd then 0.3 miles slight right onto Wesley Chapel Rd. 1.7 miles turn left into Chapel Springs Farm. Follow signs to the Hunter Trial Field and Parking.
