Wow, did we luck out on the weather for the Hunter Pace at Indian Echo on Saturday, July 20, 2024. The temperature was in the 70’s and overcast with a slight drizzle here and there.
A huge thank you and kudos goes to JENN DALY. Not only did she host the event, but she also designed and marked the course. Hunter Paces do not exist without the course and the land. Farmington Hunt is blessed with many gracious landowners that allow us to cross their properties during hunting and for fundraisers. Thank you to the DURBINS, WISES (c/o John Elliott), ROBYN NORTH, RAYMOND NUESCH (c/o Rebecca Barber), the SKALAKS and the ASHCOMS. We truly appreciate your generosity.
Hunter Paces also rely on some hardworking volunteers. CAROLYN CHAPMAN and ALEX HUEBNER greeted everyone and got them parked efficiently. Secretaries, DALE DEALTREY and SUSAN JOHNSON handled the post entries in a very organized fashion. Then on to the start, where competitors were met by SUSAN BOONE and BETSY DOVE who explained the course and handled the timing. Halfway around the course, CANDACE HART and NANCY HOWELL greeted the riders with a bottle of water (kindly supplied by KRISTIN JONES) and further directions.
These volunteers handled everything extremely smoothly, which made for a lovely day had by all!
